Our Terms and Conditions of Hire
Rental charges
Based on single, double or twin share basis.
Include Unlimited kilometres
Include GST.
Include Insurance. (Refer to the insurance section)
Include LPG gas for gas appliances
Include RACT State-wide Roadside service
Insurance
Drivers over the age of 25 have a standard excess of $1,200.00 included in
our rates. This excess may be reduced to $250.00 by paying an additional
$10.00 per day. (minimum charge $60 up to a maximum of $200).
Drivers aged 21-24 have an excess of $2000 which cannot be reduced.
Most of the access roads
to many of Tasmania's sights and National Parks are unsealed roads and
Tasmanian Campervan Hire is one of the very few companies that allow our
vehicles to be used on unsealed roads without any loss of insurance cover or
increased excess.
Licence and age restrictions
We will require a valid drivers licence from your country of
origin or an international drivers licence if the details are not in English.
Drivers must be 21 years of age or older and fully licensed.
Probationary licence holders are not permitted to drive our vehicles.
Payment and deposit
We require a deposit of $200.00 to confirm bookings. The balance of the rental
payment will be required on collection of the van. Deposits are non refundable.
Payments can be made by Direct deposit to our bank account, Mastercard or Visa,
Bank Cheque or Cash.
Collection and Return
Vans are to be collected from and returned to our yard at 192 Brooker Avenue,
North Hobart. We’re approximately 18 kilometres from Hobart airport and 1.5
kilometres from the Hobart CBD. The Hobart Airporter shuttle meets all flights
and will drop you at our yard upon request. If you’re coming from a city hotel
or hostel, we’re about 20 minutes walk or a taxi fare is around $6.00.
Change of Vehicle
We reserve the right to upgrade your vehicle at no extra
costs to you in the event of unavoidable circumstances. If no substitute vehicle
is available our liability is limited to a full refund of the remaining portion
of rental. Repairs may be carried out at the most convenient location available
after authorisation is gained from our office.
Living Equipment
All vans are equipped with all bedding, linen, towels, crockery, cutlery,
cooking utensils and cleaning equipment. A detailed list can be provided and
extra equipment can be supplied.
Important
Tasmanian Campervan Hire reserves the right to refuse any
rental hire at its discretion. This document does not contain all relevant
details, see contract for full details. Vehicles depicted in our illustrations
and text are representations only.
